If we look at screens, Gionee takes a sweeping win, since 720p on a 5.5-inch device just isn’t enough, and this move by Oppo is especially strange if we take into account chipsets, since Oppo packs a better combination of processor and GPU. Oppo F1s features IPS LCD display sporting 720p resolution while Gionee S6s packs IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution. You can find 3 gigs of RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage, which is pretty solid. Oppo F1s is powered by MediaTek MT6750 (Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 couple with solid Mali-T860MP2 GPU), a chipset that’s not top-of-the-line but still solid for a mid-tier device. Since both models are promoted as selfie devices, hardware doesn’t have to be top of the line, but we were pleasantly surprised by looking at specs. Oppo looks too similar to recent iPhone models, and since the author’s personal opinion is that Apple missed the mark with the design, Oppo loses the battle in the design area.
